"On the scene of the Summer Theatre of Mamaia, we had the great opportunity and satisfaction to watch your superb ensemble, Song and Dance Ensemble "Doina Gorjului", which was the high artistic point of the manifestation - the unanimous opinion of the jury - made of the greatest personalities of the folklore and the applauses of the thousands of people who were fascinated by the quality of the show.
     Without any doubt, "Doina Gorjului" is the most valuable and performant professional folklore ensemble in the country and if fully deserves to be known and appreciated abroad where it can be a honorable ambassador of the Romanian culture.

   "In the case of "Doina Gorjului" Ensemble the talent is mixed up with the sublime. The show reaches on great moral and aesthetical heights . We seemed as we where  near a bewitched fountain and we calmed down our thirst of beauty and sensibility. The shows are thought in such a manner as the Romanian society comes back to its old basis. The song are pure and true, the dances brighten the existence, the band harmonizes the opposites. They use symbols everlasting.
